One big thing: Ebbrell Architecture + Design transformed a pre-pandemic, underutilized office into a warm, collaborative workspace that reflects Costello Medical’s brand and people-first culture.
Why it matters: Boston’s office market is shifting – sublet spaces built for one tenant are being reimagined for another. This project demonstrates how thoughtful, selective renovation can reposition existing real estate and create new value.
Design highlights:
🍴 Bigger, better breakroom: Doubled the lunchroom to host weekly team gatherings, with a hospitality-inspired mix of booths, tables, and high-tops.
🔊 Sound + style: Introduced wood and felt wall panels, and felted light fixtures to boost acoustics and add texture.
🪑 Smarter layout: Converted underused space into a new boardroom and casual collaboration zone.
🔵On-brand finishes: Refreshed furnishings and finishes to reflect Costello Medical’s identity, elevating both look and function.
The bottom line:With precise architectural edits, Ebbrell delivered a tailored space that supports connection, collaboration, and daily performance, without a full-scale gut renovation.
