An optimized layout, additional conference room, and new workspaces support the Dean of the College of Science at Northeastern University

Northeastern University reached out to Ebbrell Architecture + Design to renovate the existing Dean’s Suite in their College of Science.  With a prominent place on the ground floor of Richards Hall, the Dean was looking to upgrade finishes and furniture to be a welcoming space for the University and outside community.  The College of Science is growing and needed to create shared offices and another conference room to accommodate their growth.

  • Reworked existing suite to accommodate shared offices, reused existing furniture in these offices to keep costs down
  • Designed new reception desk with the University’s signature red to greet visitors to the suite
  • Created a nook for the assistant to the dean and provided privacy and visual interest with an architectural wood and glass wall
  • Replaced carpet and paint throughout the suite to modernize the look and feel
  • Specified new furniture for the Dean’s office, reception area, conference rooms and workstations to meet the Dean’s aesthetic
